Pre-launch · founding group open

Run every case from one secure workspace.

Manage cases, encrypted evidence, client updates, time, expenses, and professional reports without piecing together five different tools. Your sensitive case data is encrypted before it leaves your device.

No weekly newsletter. Founding users receive meaningful development updates, early product access, and a direct way to shape the workflow.

Interface concept — not a screenshot of shipped software.

Built for PI workflowsCase lifecycle, evidence, reports, and client delivery — not a renamed project tracker.
Security by designDesigned around client-side encryption and controlled access from the beginning.
Professional deliveryGive attorneys and clients a clean portal, secure updates, and branded reports.

The work is difficult enough

Your operating system shouldn't be five unrelated tools.

Most investigators don't lack discipline. They lack software designed around the actual path from intake to evidence, client communication, reporting, and closure.

01

Case information is scattered

Notes in email, photos in Drive, hours in a spreadsheet, the invoice somewhere else. Reconstructing one case means opening five tools.

02

Evidence handling changes by case

Files get renamed, copied, and emailed. When someone asks what changed and when, there's no record to point to.

03

Delivery still means manual cleanup

Reports assembled by hand, updates sent from a personal address, hours retyped into the invoice — some never make it.

One workspace, three jobs

Run the case. Protect the evidence. Deliver the work.

This is the plan, not a finished product — founding users get a say in the order and the details.

01 · Run the case

See the entire case without reconstructing it.

Inquiry to active work, report writing, closure, and archive — with contacts, notes, tasks, time, expenses, and activity tied to the case.

  • Purpose-built case lifecycle and status controls
  • Timestamped notes, tasks, contacts, and activity
  • Time and expenses captured where the work happens

Interface concept — not a screenshot of shipped software.

02 · Protect the evidence

Keep evidence organized with its integrity record.

Upload evidence into the case, preserve timestamps and integrity details, and maintain an exportable record — without turning file administration into a separate job.

  • Encryption before sensitive files leave the device
  • File hashes, timestamps, and evidence history
  • Exportable chain-of-custody record

Interface concept — not a screenshot of shipped software.

03 · Deliver professional work

Give the client a finished experience — not a folder link.

Create a structured report, apply your branding, send updates securely, and deliver completed work through a client portal bearing your firm's name.

  • Structured report templates and PDF export
  • Branded client portal and secure case updates
  • Controlled report delivery and case closure

Interface concept — not a screenshot of shipped software.

Security architecture

Designed so sensitive data is protected before storage.

The architecture keeps encryption close to the investigator: data is encrypted before upload, stored as encrypted content, and opened only by authorized users with the required credentials.

Step 01

Your device

Case data and evidence are encrypted locally before upload, with keys derived from your password. Plaintext never leaves the machine.

Step 02

Encrypted transfer and storage

Only encrypted content reaches the platform. Every file also gets a timestamped integrity hash, so you can show it hasn't changed.

Step 03

Authorized access

Access goes through your credentials and a recovery key you get during setup. There's no back door — which also means we can't reset your password for you.

PIToolkit is in development. Final cryptographic implementation and recovery procedures will be documented and validated before general release — we won't make guarantees we can't demonstrate.

Security is never an upgrade. Two-factor authentication, recovery keys, session management, audit log, and client-side encryption are included on every plan — not reserved for a higher tier.

Why this product

Security experience meets firsthand exposure to PI work.

PIToolkit is built by a cybersecurity professional with private investigators in the family.

Built with investigators, not around them

We'd rather find the wrong assumptions now.

The goal is not to guess what investigators need, build for a year in isolation, and reveal a finished product. It's to establish the secure core, place it in front of working investigators, and change the workflow based on how real cases are run.

That means the founding group is not a marketing list. It's the group that answers the practical questions: what belongs on the case screen, how evidence should be indexed, what a client should see, and what makes a report genuinely easier to finish.

A working investigator saying "this is not how the job works" is worth more than a hundred passive signups.

Development roadmap

Clear about what exists and what comes next.

The roadmap will change as working investigators test the product. That's the point of opening the process early.
