What we collect

Only what you type into the form on the front page. Your email address is required. Every other answer — whether you work solo or in a firm, which state you're licensed in, what kind of cases you take, what software you use now and what you pay for it, what wastes your time, what you'd expect to pay, and any comments you write — is optional, and the form works fine if you skip all of it.

If you tick the box saying you'd be willing to have a conversation with us, we record that alongside your email so we know to ask.

There is nowhere else on the site to type anything. The buttons at the top of the front page only scroll you to this same form.

What we deliberately don't ask

Your firm name, your phone number, your licence number, your address, and anything at all about your clients, your subjects or your cases. None of that helps us build the product, and holding it would make us a target for exactly the kind of person your clients are worried about.

Why we collect it

Two reasons, and no others:

• To email you when there's something worth showing you.
• To decide what to build and what to charge. The survey answers are read in aggregate to settle questions we're currently guessing at.

We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone outside the people building PIToolkit.

Who else touches it

The form is hosted by Tally, which stores the responses on our behalf. When we start sending email, we'll use an email service to do it and will name it here before we do.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It loads no fonts, images or styles from anyone else — everything but the Tally form embed is served from pitoolkit.com.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until we shut the project down — whichever comes first. If PIToolkit never launches, we delete the list rather than keep it lying around.

Getting your data removed

Email hello@pitoolkit.com and say so. You don't need to explain why, and we'll confirm when it's done. Every email we send will also have a one-click unsubscribe.

You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, and we'll send it.

A note on the product itself

Everything above is about this marketing page. The PIToolkit application is being built so that case data and evidence are encrypted on your device before they reach our servers, meaning we hold ciphertext we cannot read. That's an architectural property of the product, not a promise about this form — and the product isn't launched yet. When it is, it'll have its own privacy notice covering how it works in detail.
